Exterior Signs Announce New Heights Physical Therapy's New Location in Portland!

It’s not much of a stretch to suggest you need your name on the outside of your storefront if you want to attract business and let customers know where you are. New Heights Physical Therapy was well-aware of this, so they scheduled an appointment with Specialty Graphic Solutions for exterior signs in Portland, OR.

Such Great Heights

With a new location on the west side of Portland on Cornell Road, New Heights Physical Therapy+ continues to expand thanks to their success providing the best quality of physical therapy to help their patients to feel their best at play, home, and at work. They treat everything from osteoporosis, auto injuries, repetitive motion injuries, back pain, bike injuries from crashes caused by gawking at their fabulous new signs, and more. Plus, their methods include microcurrent therapy, manual therapy, STEP therapy, and others. They essentially do it all.

We jumped at the chance to help out an enterprise that supplies such a valuable service to local residents when they came to us for channel letter signs for Portland, OR. We have a little history with New Heights. Back in March, they came to us for other exterior signs at their Northeast Glisan Street location. They knew we had the range of motion needed to provide a variety of signage types throughout all of Portland.

We Performed Signage Therapy

After an initial consultation, we learned that New Heights needed a couple different types of markers at their venue: an illuminated channel letter sign and a “flag” sign. We already had their artwork on file so it was easy for us to draw up some proofs of what their finished markers would look like. Once they approved, we were off and running.

Illuminated Channel Letters Portland OR

First off, we created the illuminated channel letters. These were individual letters that make up the company’s logo. We shaped the letters to match the unique fonts New Heights uses in their logo. We then incorporated LED lights inside to illuminate the sign from within. This makes the marker easy to see at night and during the day. We used white acrylic faces to contrast against the natural, stained wood sign band on the building.

The letters were mounted to raceways, or mounting rails, that match the wood background to seamlessly blend in. Raceways are an excellent choice since they require little drilling into the façade of the building. The client was thrilled with this. The overall size of this channel letter sign is almost fifteen feet wide. The “New Heights” text is 16.25” high, and “Physical” is 17.5” tall.

For the flag sign we installed on the pole sign in front of the building, we used a polycarbonate panel with full-color digital prints on each side so cars driving down Cornell can see the New Heights name far enough ahead to avoid needing to slam on their brakes to make the turn. After all, whiplash would be counterproductive!

In the end, the client was completely satisfied. In fact, Kevin Poe, the Co-Founder of New Heights, contacted us to say, “The signs look fantastic!”
